The horizon expanders.
Our successful duos.
Sometimes, all that’s needed is a change of perspective to see something new. Farmers looking at their fields from space. Engineers who can imagine the future. Big leaps in development often begin with a small step that brings people together. Interdisciplinary cooperation is a major force for innovation, as proven by our successful duos.

"In addition, construction companies have full cost control and planning security, especially during times when there is a shortage of skilled workers,” says Steffen Mechter. The construction evolution is progressing.
Visionaries
“Customers can individually configure their bathroom according to the specific designs and view it in 3D,” adds Lukas Schiffer. It is then assembled as a prefabricated module in less than 15 minutes. Only the supply lines have to be connected at the construction site.

Visionaries
Six years ago, Lukas Schiffer from Tjiko and Steffen Mechter from BayWa came up with the plan to make construction more efficient and better quality. With ready-made bathroom modules that meet the highest quality standards, they would increase productivity in construction significantly.

“From an altitude of 800 km, we collect data that our eyes could never provide. And that to an accuracy of 10 x 10 m,” says Heike Bach. The challenge is to work together to bring the research to the field.

“The data from space helps us to use only the resources we need. That pays off, for farmers and the environment,” says Josef Bauer. Research and practice become one.

Farmer
5 years ago, Heike Bach and Josef Bauer started a project that was intended to revolutionise agriculture: they would observe the fields via satellite and determine the need for seed, fertiliser and water more precisely than ever before. A quantum leap for sustainability.
